INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Part-Time Intern Opportunity – Inner Banks Home Builders Association (IBXHBA)
Location: Greenville, NC. In-Person (10–20 hours/week)
Benefits: Networking and connections with local business owners in the construction industry, experience in nonprofit administration, business back-office administration, communication portfolio experience, social media + website management experience. Some travel.

The Inner Banks Home Builders Association (IBXHBA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time intern to support our operations through administrative assistance, event coordination, marketing, and social media management. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic non-profit environment and is ideal for students interested in Construction, Business Marketing, Communications, or Non-Profit Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist the Executive Officer in serving IBXHBA members—professionals in the homebuilding industry.
● Provide general administrative support, including data entry, correspondence, and office organization.
● Help plan and coordinate events, meetings, and membership outreach activities.
●Create engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and blog posts.
● Draft reports, maintain spreadsheets, and track relevant data.
● Manage calendars, respond to emails, and field incoming phone calls.
● Take and organize meeting minutes.
● Sort, collect, and distribute mail.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Actively pursuing a degree in Construction, Business Marketing, Communication, or Non-Profit Administration.
● Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace (Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Outlook/Gmail, Google/iCal Calendars).
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
●Comfortable with professional phone and email communication.
● Demonstrated ability to create social media content (still images + video).
● Previous experience in an office or administrative setting is a plus.
● Team-oriented and community-minded with a strong sense of responsibility.
● Background in community service is a bonus.
●Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
