David Horn is the vice president of operations and strategic partnerships for Invest Greenville, a public-private partnership focused on promoting economic development in Greenville-Pitt County, North Carolina.
David Horn brings decades of experience building strategic relationships and partnerships across media and economic development sectors. Throughout his career, he’s worked with nationally recognized broadcast, communications, and technical services organizations.
As vice president of operations and strategic partnerships, David works closely with investors, community partners, municipalities, and stakeholders to strengthen engagement and advance initiatives that support long-term economic growth. He oversees investor relations efforts, leads the organization’s five-year capital campaign initiatives, and guides the development of new programs and partnership opportunities that enhance engagement and organizational impact.
A strong advocate for workforce development, David serves as co-chair of Grow Local, a workforce development initiative of the Greater Greenville Chamber, and helps lead Better Skills, Better Jobs, an award-winning annual career fair held in partnership with Pitt Community College. His work focuses on connecting employers, educators, and community leaders to strengthen eastern North Carolina’s talent pipeline.
David also serves in leadership roles across several local and regional organizations. He is chair-elect of the Greater Greenville Chamber, chair of the programs committee for the North Carolina Coastal Society for Human Resource Management, serves as a member of the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association, and is a board member for the BBB of Eastern Carolinas and the Downtown Greenville Partnership.
David and his wife, Windy, have been back in Greenville since 2013, but met here some years ago when she was in nursing school at East Carolina University. Deeply connected to the area through long-standing relationships, community involvement, and a shared love for the ECU Pirates, they are proud to call Greenville home.
